Alternative Flea and Coat Treatment


A very strong infusion of Thyme is said to be good for coat and the prevention of fleas. Boil the leaves a couple of minutes in water and allow to cool. Strain when cold and put the liquid in an atomizer bottle and spray the hair the wrong way. It is supposed to deodorize, refresh and ease itching.


Home-made alternative to pedialyte

This recipe may be used in place of an over-the-counter product (Pedialyte), IF followed EXACTLY:

3 Tablespoons of Sugar
3/4 teaspoon of Salt
1 Teaspoon of Baking Soda
1 Cup of Orange Juice
1 Quart of Water.

Pour together and shake well. (It doesn't say to, but I'd keep it refrigerated and use it w/in 48 hours. Even Pedialyte says to use w/in 48 hrs).
