In "Curiosity", Ginger Wanamaker and her best friend, Irene Fong, make an incredible discovery: that Ginger's grandparents' house in southern Indiana was an Underground Railroad site before the Civil War. Laird, a spirited wire fox terrier, accompanies Ginger and Irene on their adventures-really he's the hero of the story. Ginger's grandparents, George and Abby, meanwhile are way too busy to spend any time in their porch rockers.
